Free iPod - Can You Really Get A Free iPod - How Does it Work

The way that companies can afford to give away a free gift, such as an ipod, is by asking you to complete an offer with one of their sponsors and then by referring some friends to do the same. Once you have done this you are made eligible to claim your free gift. When you complete the offer with one of the companies, sponsors or affiliates they receive an amount of money. With that money they spend some of it on a free gift for you and keep the rest. Why not just keep all the money for themselves I am sure you ask? Well if they did you would have no reason to complete the offer in the first place.

They then request that you refer something like 5 friends or more depending often on the value of the free gift so that they will do the same and more offers will be completed. It is a win, win situation for everyone involved if done correctly; the sponsor is happy because they have had customers referred to them, the site providing the ipod is happy because they have been paid money from the sponsor and you are happy because you have received a free ipod. The reason I said everyone is happy if done correctly is because where many people fail to get their free gift is by forgetting to refer friends or not completing an offer.

This is very effective for the site doing it, because whereas before they would have simply had an ad down the site saying something like "Buy something from our sponsor" now they can say "Buy something from our sponsor and get a free iPod". Which one seems more appealing?
